Halloween!!!
Wishing you a nice, cozy, loving Halloween 🎃.
An evening of darkness where even the light sometimes shines through with thoughts and memories of those who have passed on before us.
I personally do not equate memories of loved ones with darkness and horror!
Hm 🤔! Interesting when you think about it!!!👀
But the light makes us all visible, including the figures of darkness.
Why we celebrate Halloween:
- The Celts believed that the boundary between the living and the spiritual world was thinnest during this night, which made it possible for spirits to visit the earth.
- Halloween is scary because of its original roots in the Celtic festival of Samhain, when it was believed that the boundary between the living and the dead was blurred and that spirits and evil beings were on the move. The celebration included bonfires and costumes to either scare away these spirits or ”to mingle with them.” Today’s horror theme in Halloween is based on these old ideas about the macabre and the unknown, mixed with modern horror elements such as movies and ”haunted houses.”
- It was a Celtic autumn festival that marked the harvest season when bonfires were lit to guide the dead and scare away the male witches, i.e. those who had ruled the world with some few exceptions of female power and who did not find a home to the light. Hm yes, the last one was probably a bit improvised by myself.
But this evening is different for all of us, I would like to think?! 🤔
For me, spirituality, spirits and the spiritual are light.
We do not need to look for evil in the spirit world, as they rule and place here on mother earth, usually in high positions until the day we open our beautiful eyes and set foot.
Anyway, wishing all the wonderful beautiful people a good evening.👉❤️
