There are certain names in the worlds of hard rock and heavy metal that immediately capture attention. So when guitarist David Shankle, bassist Magnus Rosén, and vocalist Anton Darusso unveiled their new project, Legacy of Souls, it instantly felt like the meeting of several generations of rock music.

On July 24, the band will release its debut single, Heaven in My Eyes. Although the project is still in its early days, it has already sparked curiosity among fans of classic heavy metal.

The name Legacy of Souls feels deeply symbolic. It is as if they are bringing together their experience, influences, and passion to begin an exciting new chapter.

David Shankle is best known for his time with Manowar, where his virtuosic guitar playing made a lasting impression during the mid-1990s. His style combines speed, melody, and unmistakable classic heavy metal roots.

Magnus Rosén is a familiar name to rock fans around the world. As the former bassist of HammerFall, he played an important role during the period when Swedish power metal gained international recognition. Throughout his career, Rosén has also embraced a wide variety of musical collaborations and creative projects.

Anton Darusso, from Wings of Destiny, contributes a powerful voice that bridges the band’s classic influences with a fresh and modern edge. Together, the three musicians create a compelling combination where experience and creativity complement one another without any single member overshadowing the others.
